Troy Ramos Premieres "Sonic Sketches" at ArtHouse 43 Art Show "Between the Lines"
In the winter of 2015, artists Chris Ramos and Troy Ramos began sketching ideas not only for their first art show together, “Between the Lines”, but also initiated what would become the arts organization started by Troy Ramos: ArtHouse 43, LLC.
This exhibit featured charcoal sketches, paintings and photography by Chris Ramos. It also marked the premiere of Troy Ramos’s brand new sound installation “Sonic Sketches”, which is available on iTunes, Amazon and at www.troyramos.bandcamp.com.
The show was a huge success, pulling in a few hundred people and garnered a fantastic amount of media attention.
”’Sonic Sketches’ is my longest work to date. It’s 60 minutes of ambient works for piano and electronics,” said Troy Ramos. “This show went so well, I couldn’t have imagined it going better. Not only do I feel great about the direction my own works are going, exploring this sense of calming timelessness, but gaining experiences curating shows is becoming invaluable to what I’m going to do in the future with my work.”
